Cambodia Tomorrow is proud to announce the opening of
The Cambodia Tomorrow School
Growth, Hope, Success
Thank you for your support and contributions to make the Cambodia Tomorrow School a reality. The school houses two large classrooms, a computer lab and teacher’s office and will provide English and computer classes to over 70 students who reside at Kompong Speu Orphan Center.
On December 3rd, 2008, a ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the opening of the Cambodia Tomorrow School. Members of the Cambodian government, representatives from Enfants D’Asie (ASPECA) and other NGOs, Orphanage Director Pol Sok Ly, Cambodia Tomorrow manager "Ken" Sngin Sokoeun and board member Sheila Pompan, along with her husband Gary, will attend the celebration. All of the students, English teachers Hai Poch and Hur Thirneang and computer teacher Pich Rany will be part of this special occasion. The school building and classrooms will be dedicated and the students will move from their temporary classroom into this new and beautiful space. The computer classes, jointly sponsored by Cambodia Tomorrow and ASPECA, will also move from Pol Sok Ly's office into a new computer lab in the building.
Many thanks to the Wisniewski family, who named the school and chose our motto "Growth, Hope, Success" to honor the first names of their three children George, Henry and Shannon, and to our sponsors who contributed to the two classrooms - now called the Sheila and Gary Pompan Classroom and the Julian and Rachel Sirkin Classroom. Our Wall of Gratitude list is being painted on one of the interior walls, and additional names will be added in the months ahead.
